David M. Underwood, Jr. is currently President and Chief Executive Officer of Chilton Capital Management LLC in Houston, Texas and President of Chilton Capital Management Trust Company, also in Houston. He has held positions at Duncan-Smith Co. in San Antonio, St. John’s School in Houston and Legg Mason Wood Walker, Inc. in Houston. Mr. Underwood holds a BA in Economics from Southern Methodist University and a Masters in Mathematics Education from University of Houston.
Mr. Underwood has served on the boards of the following non-profit organizations: Palmer Drug Abuse Program, Woodberry Forest School (Virginia), AIDS Foundation Houston and Houston Methodist Research Institute. He currently holds board positions on the following non-profit organizations: Fondren Foundation, UT Health Development Board, Holly Hall Retirement Community, River Oaks Baptist School Endowment Fund, Family Houston, Houston Methodist Hospital and re:MIND Depression and Bipolar Support (formerly DBSA Greater Houston), as well as, the Capital Campaign Steering Committees of Houston Methodist Hospital, River Oaks Baptist School and SER – Jobs for Progress. Mr. Underwood is a Senior Fellow of American Leadership Forum, Class XXX. Mr. Underwood’s interests include golf, running and traveling. He is married to Christine M. Underwood and he has two daughters and two sons.
Ms. Genung is a relationship manager and trust officer at Chilton Capital Management. She also serves as Vice President on the Chilton Capital Management Trust Company Board. Ms. Genung is a licensed attorney who has been in the Trust and Investment Management business for over 15 years.
Ms. Genung holds a BJ in Journalism from the University of Texas at Austin, and earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Houston Law Center. She is a member of the Probate, Trusts and Estates Section of the Houston Bar Association. Other professional affiliations include the Houston Estate and Financial Forum and Attorneys in Tax & Probate. A native Houstonian and mother of four, she enjoys serving the local community as a member of National Charity League’s Memorial Chapter, a Girl Scout troop leader, and volunteer for various SBISD schools. Ms. Genung currently sits on the Board of the Forest Club’s Ladies Association.
Mr. Robertson joined Chilton Capital Management in 2007. His previous associations include Dyer, Robertson & Lamme, of which he was a co-founder, and Alaska Interstate Company.
Mr. Robertson received a BA from Southern Methodist University and an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Tim Lootens is a Wealth Advisor and Trust Officer who works with high net wealth individuals and trust beneficiaries to plan for their financial future. Tim knows from experience that there are many personal and industry impediments to achieving one’s financial ambitions and works closely with each client to identify their goals and, together, determine the best path to reaching those goals. In advising a wide range of clients in varying circumstances, Tim has learned that there is no “one-size fits all” fix when it comes to providing wealth management and financial planning advice. Through his vast experience, Tim knows that the ability to truly listen to his clients and bring peace to their financial lives has enabled him to become his clients’ Trusted Advisor.
During his career, Tim has been fortunate to spend time as an investment analyst, a portfolio manager and a wealth advisor. His previous career in the healthcare industry enables Tim to advise his Investment Team on investments in that industry as well as assist clients and others in navigating personal healthcare issues. Tim is a Certified Financial Planner, having achieved the CFP ® designation in 2014. In addition, Tim earned the Certified Private Wealth Planner designation in 2018. By utilizing financial planning software, his experience and other tools, Tim is able to help clients visually see what their future can be and highlight the steps to get there.
Tim holds a BS in Psychology and a Masters in Healthcare Administration, both from Xavier University in Ohio. Additionally, Tim holds a Masters in Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin.
Brandon Frank is a Portfolio Manager for the Growth & Income strategy, an offering at Chilton that has long helped clients meet their financial objectives. After spending nearly 18 years in the financial services industry, Brandon understands that an investment process emphasizing fundamental research, objectivity, and the ability to take a long-term view is critical in meeting these objectives.
Brandon’s extensive background in financial analysis, business modeling, accounting, portfolio construction, and risk management strategies has led to superior long-term investment performance for portfolios under his direction. In addition, Brandon’s experience in managing multiple asset classes throughout various market cycles makes him uniquely qualified in his role as a steward of your investment capital.
Brandon has a BA in Finance, International Business, and Marketing from Florida State University and an MBA with a concentration in Finance from The University of Texas at Austin.
Mr. St. Paul is the lead executive responsible for day to day administration and coordination for the firm's operating segments: Research/Portfolio Management, Sales/Client Service/Marketing, and Operations. Prior to joining Chilton in 2011 he served as Managing Director for Credit Suisse/First Boston from 1987 to 2010. His career experience also includes associates with First National Bank of Commerce, New Orleans.
Mr. St. Paul has a BS from Louisiana State University. He also serves on the firm's Investment Policy Committee.
Brad Eixmann is Chief Investment Officer and Senior Portfolio Manager who leads the Growth & Income investment team responsible for generating solid returns to help Chilton’s valued clients achieve their financial goals. After spending over fifteen years working as an investment analyst and lead portfolio manager at both large asset managers and smaller registered investment advisory firms, Brad knows what it takes to deliver consistently positive results through the years—long-term thinking, keen ability to peer through the fog of ever-changing, noisy markets and focus on what truly matters, consistent application of a rigorous, disciplined investment process, and smart portfolio risk management.
Brad is a CFA charter holder and a member of the CFA Institute and CFA Society of Houston. In addition to considerable experience evaluating both public and private investments, managing multibillion dollar portfolios, and recruiting and developing investment talent, he has extensive training in leadership methods and risk management. Brad has also won corporate awards for integrity and for inspiring his peers in the workplace. Brad holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin and a BA in Economics and Managerial Studies from Rice University.
Mr. Garrison is the senior portfolio manager for the firm's REIT strategy. Prior to joining Chilton Capital Management in 2011 he served as a Director in the Investments Group at Salient Partners. Mr. Garrison began his career in 1972 with Morgan Guaranty Trust Co. His career experience also includes tenure as Managing Director for Kidder Peabody & Co., and Paine Webber (now UBS), where he participated in over $8 billion of financings (primarily equity) involving REITs. In 1993 and 1994, Mr. Garrison was voted Institutional Investor All American for REIT Research, first and second, respectively, and won the Realty Stock Review All-Star Analyst Award in 1992, 1993, and 1994.
Mr. Garrison has a BBA and MBA from the University of Texas at Austin. He is a CFA charter holder, a member of the CFA Institute, and the CFA Society of Houston and a member and former governor of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (NAREIT).
Mr. Garrison serves on the firm's Investment Policy Committee.
Matt Werner is a Managing Director / Portfolio Manager who leads the Chilton REIT Team along with strategy founder Bruce Garrison. Matt performs analysis, conducts property tours, and meets with REIT management teams in order to assemble a portfolio that seeks to outperform the benchmark, net of all fees and expenses. His team is responsible for managing separately managed accounts for institutions and high net worth individuals, as well as a public 40 Act Fund. Matt also interfaces with clients and prospects in order to communicate how this proven strategy will continue to build wealth so that clients can achieve their financial goals.
Prior to arriving at Chilton, Matt worked on the investment team at Salient Partners, where he gained valuable knowledge of analyzing and assessing real estate fund managers for a fund-of-funds, as well as working on the Salient REIT Team.
Matt holds a CFA charter and is a member of the Houston CFA Society, CFA Institute, and National Association of Real Estate Trusts (NAREIT). He has been quoted in numerous national publications including the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Barron’s, Financial Times, Investors Business Daily, Grant’s Interest Rate Observer, and Kiplinger’s.
Matt holds a BS degree in Finance from Boston College. He lives in Houston with his wife, Rebecca, and children, Graham and Claire. He enjoys coaching his kids soccer and baseball teams, as well as playing golf, skiing, and hiking.
Mr. Reyes joined the Chilton Capital Management trading team as a Trader in 2014.
He has been in the investment management industry since 2000 through prior affiliations with Van Kampen Funds and Invesco Inc.
Mr. Reyes has a BBA in Finance from The University of Houston.

Mr. Shrand is an investment analyst for the firm’s REIT strategy. Prior to joining Chilton Capital Management in June 2022, he served as an Investment Analyst at American International Group (AIG) on the Private Credit team, focused on underwriting private placement debt for REITs and various other asset classes. Mr. Shrand has a Bachelor’s of Science in Petroleum Engineering and a Petroleum Ventures Program Certificate from Texas A&M University. He has also successfully passed both the CFA Level 1 and CFA Level 2 exams and is planning to take the CFA Level 3 exam sometime in 2023.
Mr. Reyes joined the Chilton Capital Management trading team as a Trader in 2014.

Kate Latchett is part of the operations team and continues to work in client service. She has worked in the Registered Investment Advisory industry for the past 10 years. Kate received a B.A. in Social Sciences from the University of Washington. Her father was a professional opera singer, and Kate has lived all over the world.
Kate and her husband Woody have two children, and they enjoy spending lots of time outdoors and traveling. She also enjoys running and photography.
Julia Cauthorn began working in the investment business at Colonial Penn Group while attending Temple University School of Law. In 1975, she joined Goldman Sachs, initially working in Fixed Income but in 1981 moved to their Private Client Services division. Her clients were wealthy individuals in the Southeast. In 1993, Ms. Cauthorn returned to her native Texas and Goldman Sachs’ Houston office. In 1993, she started her own registered investment advisor firm, Julia Justice Cauthorn Inc. In 2005, she merged her firm into Texan Capital Management and since then has worked with individuals, corporations and foundations.
Julia grew up on a sheep and goat ranch near Del Rio, Texas. She graduated from St. Stephen’s Episcopal School in Austin. She has a BA degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a JD degree from Temple University. She has one son, who lives in New York City. Julia is active in the community through numerous organizations. Her hobbies include gardening and sewing.
Mr. Nimmo serves as Vice President and interacts directly with clients. He is also affiliated with CCM Opportunistic Advisors LLC where he serves as Managing Director and Chief Compliance Officer for an alternative investment platform focused on identifying and investing with emerging managers.
Prior to joining the Chilton Capital Management team in 2010, Mr. Nimmo assisted investors in evaluating investment opportunities with Credit Suisse and Lehman Brothers.
Mr. Nimmo received his BA in Economics from the University of Texas and has an MBA from Rice University.
Mr. Stavar joined Chilton Capital Management in April 2010 to head marketing and business development with corporate plan sponsors, institutional consultants and financial intermediaries. He began his career in public accounting in 1976 with Deloitte Haskins and Sells, and was later associated with Peat, Marwick & Mitchell. He then joined BASF Corporation and in 1983 started managing its $1.5 billion pension portfolio and $1.0 billion defined contribution plan. In 1993 he was recruited by Mellon Bank to serve as Chief Investment Officer for their $40 billion securities lending business.
In 1997 he worked for Allegheny Technologies Incorporated and managed its $3.7 billion US and UK pension plans. After several years on the plan sponsor side, he moved in 2000 to the buy side of the investment business becoming a partner and portfolio manager for Gulf Investment Management, a $2.6 billion investment firm. The firm was later acquired by OppenheimerFunds, Inc., one of the largest investment firms in the country, where he continued for the next seven years as portfolio manager and head of marketing for institutional and consultant relationships.
Mr. Stavar is a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University and holds both BS and MBA degrees. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner. Mr. Stavar is also a member of the National Football League Players Association Financial Advisor Registration Program.
B.J. began his career at Wachovia Bank in North Carolina, then moved to Houston in 1976 to join Criterion Investment Management Co. as an equity portfolio manager. Criterion grew to become one of the country’s premier investment firms, ultimately merging into Transamerica Corp. in 1989. B.J. served as Chief Investment Officer for Transamerica Mutual Funds until 1994, when he left to found his own firm, Willingham Asset Management, Inc. Willingham Asset Management and Texan Capital merged at the end of 2007.
Mr. Willingham received a Bachelors of Arts degree in Economics from Yale University and an MBA from Wharton School of Finance. B.J. has served on the boards and committees of numerous non-profit organizations. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation, and is a member of The CFA Institute and the Houston Society of Financial Analysts. B.J. and his wife Delby have two grown daughters. He enjoys the outdoors and is an avid fly fisherman.
Frank Wozencraft joined Chilton Capital in 2018, through its merger with Texan Capital Management. Mr. Wozencraft founded Texan Capital in 2001. Under his leadership, Texan Capital achieved several “Top Gun” rankings for superior performance from PSN Informa. He manages client portfolios and focuses on business development.
Mr. Wozencraft holds a BA from Williams College, an MBA from Northwestern University, and he is a CFA charter holder. He graduated from St. Paul’s School in Concord, NH.
A native Houstonian, Mr. Wozencraft was one of the founders of the Houston Technology Center and is active in the community. He is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Houston. He and his wife Liz have two children.
Jo Barrie assists with client service and back office operations tasks. She has worked in the registered investment advisory industry for over 14 years. Jo previously worked in the healthcare IT field and also worked for a year in Saudi Arabia with ARAMCO. She received her B.B.A. degree from the University of Houston. In her spare time Jo enjoys skiing, travel, and music.
Mr. Cooperrider joined Chilton Capital Management in August 2013 after attaining several years of operational experience working for an IRA custodian.
As Portfolio Administrator, Mr. Cooperrider works with new and existing clients to establish and maintain their investment accounts.
Mr. Cooperrider received his BA in Business Management from Wittenberg University in 2010.
Mrs. Waldrum began her career in the real estate business with Houston developers and homebuilders. She also worked with a local non-profit before joining Chilton Capital Management in 2009.
As the firm's Comptroller, Mrs. Waldrum maintains financial, accounting, administrative and personnel services.
Mrs. Waldrum has a BS in Accounting from Houston Baptist University.
Ms. Yopp joined Chilton Capital Management in 2014. She has been in the investment industry since 1999 and was previously associated with SunTrust Investments in Atlanta, GA, and a small Registered Investment Advisory firm in Houston, TX.
As an Operations Specialist, Mr. Yopp assists with preparations of a variety of reports, setup and maintenance of client relationships and portfolio information in a portfolio accounting system.
Ms. Yopp is a weekend volunteer at the SPCA.
Randall joined Chilton Capital Management as an Investment Analyst in 1997. He soon obtained his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification and quickly grew into the position of Portfolio Manager, assuming greater roles in the growing company as time went on. A voracious reader with a desire to never stop learning, Randall went on to earn his Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation. In 2018, he was added to Chilton’s Board of Managers; in 2020, he was named CFO of the firm. Throughout his career, Randall always put the interests of his clients and his teammates before his own as he worked tirelessly on his campaign to “make Chilton great.” His enthusiasm, dedication, and positivity will be dearly missed by his clients and colleagues.
Laura Genung is President and Trust Officer at Chilton Capital Management. She also serves as Vice President on the Chilton Capital Management Trust Company Board. Laura is a licensed attorney with over 22 years of trust and wealth management experience.
Laura’s expertise encompasses, retirement accounts, FLPs, trusts, and estates, Her broad range of clients includes families, business owners, physicians, attorneys, and artists. She is passionate about maintaining family harmony when transitioning generational wealth.
